SHIPPING & ALL SALES FINAL POLICY

At Melanated Scripture, we create faith-based artifacts and uniforms designed to celebrate Black Christian culture and identity. Our pricing is rooted in a "Fixed Community Pricing" model to ensure accessibility and equity within our community. Because our products are produced in limited runs and support our mission-centric operations, we adhere to a strict shipping and returns policy.
By making a purchase on melanatedscripture.com, you agree to the following terms:
1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL (NO RETURNS / REFUNDS / EXCHANGES)
Due to the unique nature of our products and our commitment to community-based pricing (which excludes traditional retail markups and discount logic), ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
- We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on any items (including, without limitation, for “change of mind,” incorrect size selection, buyer’s remorse, gifts, or ordering the wrong item).
- Each item is considered an “Artifact” or “Uniform” for the community. Please review all sizing charts and product descriptions carefully before completing your purchase.
2. SHIPPING & PROCESSING (WASHINGTON, DC)
- Shipping Origin: We ship from Washington, DC.
- Processing Time: Please allow 7–10 business days for processing, as our products are often made-to-order or treated as cultural artifacts. Processing times may increase during high-volume periods or new collection launches.
- Shipping Carriers: We utilize standard shipping carriers to deliver our products.
- Tracking: Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking number. It may take up to 48 hours for the tracking information to update.
3. ADDRESS ACCURACY
The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address at the time of checkout.
- Melanated Scripture is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
- If a package is returned to us due to an insufficient address, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs to resend the package.
4. DELIVERY ISSUES (LOST, STOLEN, OR DAMAGED)
- Lost/Stolen: Melanated Scripture is not liable for any products lost or stolen during the shipping process or after delivery confirmation. Once a package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier, our responsibility ends. We recommend shipping to a secure location.
- Damaged/Defective Goods: In the rare event that an item arrives damaged or is defective, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

5. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes imposed by their respective countries. Melanated Scripture does not collect these fees upfront and cannot predict their cost. Delayed delivery due to customs processing is outside of our control.
